Troubled Jamie Redknapp is desperately trying to save his marriage, and hopes estranged wife Louise will attend a makeor-break family holiday.

The 44-year-old former England footballer is planning a trip to Barbados in a bid to woo her back. A source said: “Jamie really wants Louise to come to Barbados. They have had their best times with the children on holiday – that’s where they are always happy and the two of them feel close and romantic.”

The couple, who have two sons, Charlie, 12, and Beau, eight, were said to be feeling the strain after Louise, 42, spent seven months on the road following her time on Strictly Come Dancing. She was reported to have bonded with party girl Daisy Lowe, 28, during the 30-date tour. It is believed that Daisy was a shoulder to cry on.

Friendship

Since then, sources say Louise has been avidly reading Oprah Winfrey’s What I Know For Sure to build up what she calls “the new me”.

The source added: “She regularly quotes bits from Oprah’s book on positivity and being strong. It’s the start of a new chapter for her.”

Meanwhile, model Daisy posted an inspiring quote online, which now appears to have been deleted. She shared: “The best kind of friendships are fierce lady friendships, where you aggressively believe in each other, defend each other and think the other deserves the world.”

Louise has not spoken of her rumoured marriage split, though she has been seen out without her wedding ring this week.

It had been claimed that the former Eternal star cut short her recent trip to Majorca with her sons to have crisis talks with Jamie.

Her other Strictly co-star Karen Clifton confirmed that Louise and Jamie had gone their separate ways. Karen said: “On the show, she grew in confidence and you could see her wings expanding. She’s reinventing herself.” Louise is currently rehearsing for the UK tour of Cabaret, which kicks off in September.
